Triadthlon

Project 04

A triathlon for Greensboro, Winston-Salem, High Point and the surrounding communities.

The Piedmont Triad region of North Carolina, which includes Greensboro, Winston-Salem, and High Point, is a prime location for establishing its own triathlon due to its population size and diverse landscapes suitable for triathlon events.

The concept for the Triadthlon originated with founders from the Greensboro area, drawing on the region's strong athletic culture and diverse landscapes. Inspired by the growing popularity of triathlons nationwide and the unique potential of the Piedmont Triad area, the founders saw an opportunity to create a local event that would bring together participants from Greensboro, Winston-Salem, High Point, and surrounding communities.

By leveraging the area's lakes, hills, and urban trails, the Triadthlon aims to highlight the natural beauty and resources of the region while promoting health, wellness, and community engagement among local residents and visitors alike.

A strong sports culture, ready to sponsor.

The presence of major sports and athletic companies headquartered in the Triad, such as Fleet Feet, Sports Endeavors, and Omega Sports, highlights the area's strong sports culture and potential for sponsorship opportunities. These companies, known for their engagement with athletic events and local communities, could provide sponsorship and promotional support to a triathlon event, making it both sustainable and attractive to participants.

The area's existing triathlon community, supported by organizations like the Triad Triathlon Team, further underscores the enthusiasm and potential for hosting such an event successfully.

Companies and organizations are named as examples of the region's sports culture. Naming them does not mean they sponsor or endorse the Triadthlon.
